MWASW gets Ugbir Austine Terhemen as a new Director Planning Research and Statistics (DPRS)

Mr. Ugbir Austine Terhemen is an Economist and career administrator currently serving as the Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics at the Benue State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, a position he assumed in February 2026.

He began his career with the Benue State Government in 2012 as a Senior Statistician (Grade Level 8) and has demonstrated consistent professional growth. An Economist by discipline, he has successfully transitioned into an administrative role, showcasing versatility across multiple agencies. In 2019, his dedication was recognized with the “Most Hardworking Staff” award at the Benue State Budget and Economic Planning Commission. Between 2019 and 2024, he was seconded to the Benue State Social Investment Agency, where he served as a Cooks Welfare Officer for the School Feeding Programme. He later expanded his expertise in public service by serving as the Acting Director at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management before his current posting
